Stevie dee   your wedding planner

The season has started all over again after the summer holidays; already there are a number of hotels locally who are having wedding fairs. The rds wedding fair has just passed with the wedding journal fares coming up in spring time. However you can visit an autumn wedding fayre that the wedding journal do in Belfast and dare I say it maybe get a Christmas shopping in. I believe you as potential brides and grooms should attend every wedding fayre you can, are you listening guys yes you, if nothing else to haggle over the prices when she is doing the ordering. After all it is your wedding day to. But lads don’t forget that golden rule, the wedding day,”it’s all about the bride”

Anyway over the next coming months I will try to guide you through that all important day, but first it’s important to make a good proposal. The girls love it and will make for a great story on your wedding day.

Lads there is help out there if you are having a problem being creative about the proposal. Those four words-“will you marry me”?. Might seem simple but ensuring they’re said just the right way can be scary. That’s why proposals have become an industry in themselves, with planners specialising in that down-on-one-knee moment joining the more traditional breed of wedding planners. And it’s no wonder the experts are being called in –A recent study found that 80% of women were disappointed with the way their man popped the question.

See what I mean “it’s all about the bride”

Here’s a story about John and Sophie, John hired the help of a proposal planner, who advised them to go Dublin n for the weekend. John booked an expensive hotel. Sophie loves music and roses, so the planners made sure to incorporate both. So on their first night john took Sophie to a bar they’d found in the temple bar district with a trad band playing and lots of people drinking and enjoying the music. Being a British girl Sophie soaked up the atmosphere, but john knew most of them were hired in actors.

Half way during the first song john went to the bathroom , As soon as john disappeared the band started playing their favourite song, which is love you till the end. At that stage people in the bar walked up to Sophie and handed her a red rose. Every rose had a photo of the pair of them. By the end of the song Sophie’s arms were full of roses with photos and notes.

John returned to the bar with one final rose with an engagement ring attached and a note saying will you be my wife.   She said yes.

What a great memory both of them will have. Women employ our services as wedding planners so lads why not employ the service of a proposal planner.

Men are nervous about asking the biggest question of their lives, so it makes sense for them to have a bit of professional guidance.

10 Ways to get body confident.

While I stated last month we have just started the season a new wedding season we are also coming to the end of this years one. Chrisitmas is fast becoming a great time to get married. Not happy with the way your body shape is going, rock the aisle(and your honeymoon!) with these insider tips to get you looking and feeling your very best.

1)Change your thinking: body confidence comes from using your body rather than just see it as something to be looked at in the mirror. When you start to excerise you feel stronger which builds confidence.

2)Flaunt your Curves: Learn how to use your feminine charms and enhance your sex appeal with a burlesque class. its the thing at the hen party right now-think silly names ,nipple tassels and pretending to be Dita Von teasel! . look this web site www.burlesquehenparty.co.uk.

3)Conquer your Cardio; Running is one of the quickest ways to tone up and improve your fitness -plus the the cardio will boost your circulation and your mood. Start by alternating a few minutes of running and fast walking until your fitness levels pick up. Download the app Mapmyrun to your phone to get motivated.

4)Zap Fat Fast;  If you have left it til the last few weeks, then you need to do something pretty intense to make a difference. i would recommend running or spinning along with weights circuit training or boxercise. Think of it as an investment in yourself, short term pain for long term gain.

5)Fix your diet: Want to shift a few pounds without crash dieting?Stop  Counting Calories and start losing Weight has the answer,"water retention drops in fewer than five days when you cut out foods to which you are most to be likely intolerant -sugar,flour and dairy being the main ones./Stick to unprocessed meat, fish, eggs, vegetables, salad, and a portion of brown rice or porridge oats daily".

6)Move your Commute a workout:"i hate excerise so the best thing for me was to force myself into it"shares recent leslie,26."l let my fiancé take the car to work for three months before the wedding and bought myself a cheap bike.I lost almost half a stone and saved a fortune in car parking fees and road toals.

7)Get Glowing: Pre wedding stress can dull the skin and make you feel tired and sluggish.Swimming and yoga are great ways to relax the mind. Switch off your phone after 9pm and ensure your bedroom is clutter free. You will wake up With a glow and renewed energy that no amount of lotions and potions can replicate.

8)Shake up your Routine:If you are tired of running round the park on your own, a quick Facebook call-out for exercise ideas will help you find some new activities and force you to meet up with real people.(i.e. not your wedding co-ordinator,the florist, photographer, priest) This can only be a good thing.

9)Pamper Your self happy: Theres nowhere for those wobbly ,flaky or spotty bits to hide when your on your honeymoon, so deal with the problem areas now. Treat yourself to a clarins body treatment, available at most chemists. The choices include figure shaper, intensive body body firmer and super Hydrator.

10)Love being you:Sometime, no amount of dieting or exercise can make you love your body. So instead decide to stop comparing  yourself to celebrities and embrace your Shape!

What are weddings really about
Thursday, 24 May 2012 14:27

As a wedding planner i often get asked what makes a good wedding , Two things really, food and entertainment. nobody really cares about the limo, most people these days are in the hotel before the bride and groom. A hotel with good food ,and the entertainment on the night thats all you need to make your night a huge sucess.

The day was good weather wise and the hotel laid on a great day for all. The entertainment started at the meal with an artist playing the violeen assisted by backing tracks during the meal and the towards the end of the meal playing to tables individually . Very entertaining. The band for the evening was Sugar Town Road who played for an hour and 45 mins. A good band, very tight; with a good selection of music. Then it

I suggested to a client that they should ask their guests to request songs to be played at the reception. I suggested that they put a requests section on their invite and encourage people to respond with requests on their RSVP.

Below are the suggestions that they got back.

Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull - Get on The Floor
    Sex is on Fire

The band covered all the best wedding classic band songs, played a live set for 2.5hours, definitely gave value for money, good lead vocals and as they were a six piece they had good backing vocals.

The Bridge House Hotel in Tullamore was the wedding I was playing at last Wednesday night 22 June 2011. The function/wedding was being held in the main ballroom in the bridge house. It was a great day weather and the bridge house was up to its usual high standard.

The bride was a Chinese lady who was marrying an Irish man so instead of getting married in the traditional white she got married in her traditional Chinese outfit which was
